Airing Out Some Dirty Laundry

The NFL took a break from worrying about Brett Farve’s ankle this week, to hear what Dwayne Bowe, wide receiver of the Kansas City Chiefs, had to say.  He told ESPN The Magazine

“You hear stories about groupies hanging out in hotel lobbies, but some of my teammates had it set up so there was a girl in every room. The older guys get on MySpace and Facebook a week before we go to a city; when a pretty one writes back, they arrange to fly her in three or four days in advance. They call it importing.”

Oh buddy. Bowe.  I’m pretty sure everyone knows there are floozies in every city trying to get a piece of an athlete so him going into detail was a little like stating the obvious. It was also a little sad that they went cruisin for chicks on Myspace like some desperate, teenage boys. It’ll be interesting to see the repercussions of this particular interview. Doubt he’ll get much love after this story hits stands.  And that’s just how I’m feelin…
